Overview
Ben Levi is a trial lawyer and registered patent attorney who has been litigating complex patent disputes in the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and in federal District Courts for nearly 30 years. Ben has particular expertise and knowledge of how best to guide clients through ITC litigation. Ben has prevailed in patent cases brought in the ITC and in federal district court.
Before forming Levi Snotherly & Schaumberg, Ben specialized in ITC litigation as a Partner at a large national law firm for nearly seven years. From 2006-2011, Ben was a senior investigative attorney with the ITC’s Office of Unfair Import Investigations. He also served as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (PTO) from 1989-1993, where he received the Distinguished Graduate award from the PTO’s Patent Academy.

Ben has successfully represented clients in patent litigation suits in U.S. District Court and the ITC covering diverse technologies such as digital video receivers, SRAMs, medical devices, computer software and associated component equipment used in high technology data transmission systems, carbon block water filters, mechanically locking laminate flooring, and a variety of industrial and consumer products.
